A recent NSCAD graduate, Schuler creates works that respond to local forest imagery. She is interested in how the "picturesque" intersects with the reality of our current environment.
Brittany Schuler will continue her work on a series of layered landscape paintings using mylar sheets. Schuler wants to explore how the revealing and concealing of her work can enhance or interfere with the current narrative of our local forest landscapes. She will also provide a space for the public to experiment with this process: layering and rearranging images to create new compositions and share new perspectives.
