Chantal Khoury

June 20, 2022 - July 3, 2022

Chantal Khoury’s paintings engage with postcolonial theory and transnational art histories. Notable Permanent Collections include the Royal Bank of Canada and she most recently taught at the University of Guelph.

While making oil paintings, Chantal Khoury will welcome the public into her studio, particularly BIPOC and marginalized demographic groups. The focus on minorities will compensate for existing barriers in cultural and professional contexts. Through feedback, skill-sharing, and meaningful connections, Khoury will foster a sense of community for underrepresented artists. By studying the collection, Khoury will link the Western canon with peripheral art histories.
