Join us on January 30th at 6:30pm for the screening of the film West Wind: The Vision of Tom Thomson, and a visit of Tom Thomson’s North Star exhibition.

The film West Wind: The Vision of Tom Thomson was produced by White Pine Pictures and follows the mysterious life and death of the famous Group of Seven painter. On July 8, 1917, Thomson died mysteriously on Canoe Lake, just as he was reaching ascendancy in his career. Why does Thomson’s life and art fascinate us still? What draws thousands of people each year to his cairn on Canoe Lake and propels his oil sketches into the stratosphere of the Canadian art market?

Tea, coffee and popcorn will be provided. Tickets are $25. Members receive a 20% discount.
