A welcoming, free creative program for adults 50+, celebrating art, community, and lifelong learning, no experience necessary! Join us every Tuesday 2:00pm - 4:00pm, alternating weekly between English and French sessions. Each month features a new theme, taught as a two-session workshop

October — Nesting Dolls: Design, Symbolism & Painting
2-session workshop

Discover the rich history and symbolism behind nesting and kokeshi dolls while creating your own hand-painted keepsake. This two-session workshop combines cultural exploration with creative design, guiding participants from initial sketches to a beautifully finished wooden nesting doll. Through colour, pattern, and decorative painting techniques, you'll create a unique piece inspired by your own memories, interests, or cultural traditions. No previous painting experience is required.

November — Learning to See: Foundations of Realistic Drawing
2-session workshop

Learning to draw realistically begins with learning how to see. In this two-session workshop, participants will complete a series of enjoyable drawing exercises designed to improve observation, proportion, and confidence. Working with everyday objects and pens, you'll discover techniques used by professional artists to train the eye and simplify complex subjects. These foundational skills can be applied to every form of drawing, from landscapes to portraits.

December — Seeing the Bigger Picture: Mosaic & Collage
2-session workshop

Discover how small pieces can come together to create something extraordinary. Inspired by birds, horses, and the natural world, this two-session workshop introduces collage and mosaic techniques while exploring composition, colour relationships, and visual balance. Participants will layer papers, textures, and shapes to build expressive artwork that celebrates nature through a fresh and creative perspective.
