Open Studio

September 19, 2024December 12, 2024

The Open Studio is an inclusive space for artists and art enthusiasts, located in the Beaverbrook Art Gallery’s Art Education Centre. The Open Studio offers art-making space and materials to all gallery visitors, providing activities for creative exploration and reflection, including drawing, painting, lino block printing, collage making, and more.

Wednesdays 1 PM - 4 PM: This time is open to all ages, with ready-to-create workstations for children and art materials and instructions available for adults. This is a drop-in activity space, and children under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian. For groups of 10 or more, please book in advance by emailing our Education Coordinator. education@beaverbrookartgallery.org

Thursdays 4 PM - 9 PM: This session is for adults (16+) who want to enhance their artistic skills while working in a collaborative and creative environment. It’s ideal for those seeking opportunities for collaboration, skill-sharing, or a fresh perspective on their artwork in a group setting. A facilitator will be present to offer artistic support, guidance, advice, and materials. Participants are encouraged to bring their own art materials and artworks in progress. Admission to the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and Open Studio is by donation on Thursdays.

New at Open Studio:

This year, expect monthly visits from professional artists who will share their knowledge and skills with Open Studio participants. The dates and artist names will be announced at a later time.
