Mawəkehkimsoltine (Let’s All Learn Together): Beaded Flower Pin Workshop with Crystal Atwin

Join us Sunday, January 19th, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm for an engaging hands-on workshop with Crystal Awtin, a Maliseet Language student and talented beadworker. In this session, participants will learn the basics of flat-stitch beading while creating a beautiful mini-flower pin. This beginner-friendly workshop offers an opportunity to explore traditional beading techniques, connect with Indigenous art forms, and complete a meaningful piece to take home. 

This workshop is open to everyone and all skill levels and provides a welcoming space for creativity and learning. Materials will be provided. Space is limited.

Crystal Atwin is Wəlastəkwey from Pilick (Kingsclear First Nation) in New Brunswick and a Maliseet Language student at St. Thomas University. Through a class assignment, Crystal began her journey with beadwork and quickly developed a passion for the art form. Her beadwork reflects a deep connection to culture and creativity.
