SOLD OUT: Life Drawing with Greg Charlton

Saturday, March 23, 1 PM: Explore classically inspired life-drawing techniques using the expressive medium of charcoal, conte, and crayon on paper. Through a process of planning and mapping, artist Greg Charlton will guide you in rendering the human form. Personal expression and creativity will be encouraged during this three-hour long drawing workshop. The cost is $45, materials included.

Greg Charlton is a Fredericton-based visual artist who concentrates on themes of transformation and change, via drawings and paintings of architecture and infrastructures, based on specific places and historical narratives. His practice has encompassed, along with drawing and painting, site-specific interventions, and experiments into perceptual phenomenon. 

Greg’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and can be found in many private and several public Art collections, including the Canada Council for the Arts, the University of New Brunswick, and the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. He has been awarded project grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council, and the New Brunswick Arts Board. Greg holds a BFA from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD U) and presently teaches Drawing and Design at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD).
