Description: This week, get inspired by photographs from the Photo East Photography Festival, and explore photography and photo-based media! Create cyanotypes and lumens with plants and fruit, construct pinhole cameras and a camera obscura, create photo-based animations and maquettes.
Week 2 (June 29 to July 3) 4-DAY CAMP Theme: Media Mixers! Age: 6-12 Instructor: Kira Tecu
Description: This week, you will learn the art of mixing media by creating a variety of artworks using collage, painting, clay, textiles, and more! Be inspired by exhibitions on display, like Colleen Wolstenholme’s Hyperobjectivity, and A Family Journey: The Private Collection of the Sobey Family.
Description: Explore the world sculptures on our Sculpture Safari! Get inspired by the many lively sculptures of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and the public sculptures spread throughout downtown Fredericton. This week, campers will use a variety of materials to create their own exciting sculptures, along with outdoor sketching adventures, and other creative projects!
Description: Explore textile materials and art this week, with techniques like sewing, weaving, tufting, and more! Learn all about these soft materials and how to create interesting artworks with them with artist Annabelle Babineau.
Week 5 (July 20-24) Theme: Art and Stories! Age: 6-9 Instructor: Annabelle Babineau
Description: This week, make your art come to life through art! Campers will explore the endless possibilities of storytelling using a variety of materials, they will learn how to create their own books, characters, and exciting adventures.
Description: Over the course of the week, fashion students will begin by exploring their own personal design style through mood boards and sketching, as well as being introduced to the key components of fashion illustration to be able to display their designs. Learners will then work with paper sewing patterns and fabrics to cut out a sewing project, which they will then assemble by hand.
Week 7 (August 3-6) 4-DAY CAMP Theme: Mixed Media Magic Age: 6-9 Instructor: Kira Tecu

Description: Come create an awesome mural to display in the gallery’s Art Education Centre! Work as a team to brainstorm, draw, and paint together. This week you will learn all about the murals in the gallery by Percy Sacobie, Jordan Bennett, and more, and what the process of mural creation is.

Summer Camp Outings
When registering your child for summer camp, please note that some camp days include off-site outings. If you choose not to allow your child to participate in a scheduled outing, you will be required to pick them up for the duration of that outing. Due to limited staffing at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, we are unable to provide on-site supervision during these times.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure a safe and well-supervised experience for all campers.
Outing specifications will be given on the first day of camp.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
To receive a full refund, cancellation requests must be received at least 7 calendar days before the first day of the specific camp session your child is registered to attend.
Cancellations received 6 calendar days or fewer before the start of the camp session will be eligible for a partial refund only. A portion of the registration fee will be retained to cover administrative, staffing, and facility expenses.
No refunds will be provided for cancellations made after the camp session has begun and any missed days due to illness, scheduling conflicts, or other personal reasons, except for medical or special circumstances (i.e. bereavement)
