Non-Stop Theatrics, a company co-founded by Naomi McGowan and Caroline Coon, will be in residence at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery from November 4th to 15th. This emerging theatre company is dedicated to delivering training and performance opportunities to local theatre artists. They will be using the space at the Beaverbrook to research the life of renowned Canadian artist Tom Thomson and rehearse their upcoming play Ten Tom Thomsons By Ryan Griffith.
In partnership with Theatre New Brunswick, this production will be presented at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in January 2025. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to rehearse for a play, Non-Stop invites you to stop by the Artist in the Residency room to watch them work.
Attention to all writers! This residency will feature a special one-night guest appearance by playwright Ryan Griffith on November 13 at 6:30 pm. He will be hosting a ‘Writers’ Café,’ where you’re invited to write in any way that inspires you! Whether you revive a story you started a decade ago or embark on an entirely new creative journey, the choice is yours. At the end of the evening, there will be an optional sharing component for those who wish to present their work.
