Sarah Milroy is the Chief Curator at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. The former editor and publisher of Canadian Art magazine, she served as lead art critic for the Globe and Mail from 2001 to 2011. In 2014, she and Ian A.C. Dejardin curated From the Forest to the Sea: Emily Carr in British Columbia at Dulwich Picture Gallery in London, UK, followed by Vanessa Bell (2017) and David Milne: Modern Painting (2018). Since joining the McMichael in 2018, Milroy has curated over twenty exhibitions, including Early Days: Indigenous Art at the McMichael (2020–21), Uninvited: Canadian Women Artists in the Modern Moment (2021–22), Denyse Thomasos: Odyssey (with Gaetane Verna, 2021), Generations: The Sobey Family and Canadian Art (2022), Dempsey Bob: In His Own Voice (with Curtis Collins, 2022–23), Wanda Koop: Lightworks (2022), Gathie Falk: Revelations (2022–23), Rajni Perera: Futures (2022–23), and her forthcoming exhibition, Marcel Dzama: Ghosts of Canoe Lake. Milroy was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada in 2020.
Anne-Marie Bouchard holds a doctorate in art history from the University of Montreal (2009), where she taught art history from 2006 to 2014. Her area of expertise focuses on visual culture and art from 1850 to 1950. From 2014 to 2024, she served as the curator of modern art at the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec, where she curated several exhibitions, including Helen McNicoll: An Impressionist Journey, 350 Years of Artistic Practices in Quebec, and 1950: Quebec by American Photojournalist Lida Moser. She is currently a lecturer in museology at Université Laval, a professor of art history at Cégep Sainte-Foy, and is completing a bachelor's degree in psychology.
