Saturday, May 30, join us for the opening celebration of two exhibitions, Document/ary: New Photographs from Atlantic Canada et sur Jake Kimble’s My Bones Are Funny, Sometimes They Ache. Presented as part of the Photo East Festival, this full-day program invites audiences to engage with contemporary photography through a series of public events.
The day begins with a panel discussion at 10:30 AM (doors open at 10:00 AM) in the Harrison McCain Pavilion, featuring artists Lucas Morneau and Chad Tobin in conversation with exhibition curator Chris Donovan about works featured in Document/ary. For more information about this panel, click ici.
At 12:30 PM, Jake Kimble, a Two Spirit, multidisciplinary Chipewyan (Dënesųłıné) artist and curator from Treaty 8 territory, will give an artist talk on works from My Bones Are Funny, Sometimes They Ache. For more information about this talk, click ici.
The afternoon continues at 2:00 PM with the opening of both exhibitions, including opening remarks from 2:00–2:30 PM in the Harrison McCain Pavilion.
