Join us on Thursday, June 18 at 5:30 PM for the opening of Hyperobjectivity: Colleen Wolstenholme Works 1992–2025, a major retrospective exhibition celebrating more than three decades of work by acclaimed Atlantic Canadian artist Colleen Wolstenholme. Featuring sculpture, painting, drawing, jewellery, textiles, photography, mixed-media collage, and multimedia installation, the exhibition traces Wolstenholme’s influential multidisciplinary practice from 1992 to the present. Curated by Ray Cronin for the Beaverbrook Art Gallery’s Marion McCain Institute for Atlantic Canadian Art, Hyperobjectivity highlights Wolstenholme’s lasting impact on contemporary Canadian art and her role in shaping the Atlantic Canadian art landscape since the 1990s.
The evening will also feature the launch of the exhibition’s fully illustrated publication, co-published with the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and Goose Lane Editions. Opening remarks and the book launch will begin at 6:00 PM in the Harrison McCain Pavilion.
