Since 2019, they have been building an artistic community guided by Mi'kmaq principles of support, guidance, and respect for one another and non-human beings. Their art serves as a dialogue with the creations of ancestral women makers, intrinsically intertwined with their roles as mothers, aunties, and caretakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition <em>Epekwitk Quill Sisters : Etleoogoeiog (dialogue) <\/em>va au-del\u00e0 de l\u2019\u00e9volution de l\u2019art de la d\u00e9coration en piquants de porc-\u00e9pic. L\u2019exposition c\u00e9l\u00e8bre l\u2019importance de la famille et de la solidarit\u00e9 entre ces femmes tout en soulignant la lign\u00e9e artistique qui les inspire et celle qu\u2019elles perp\u00e9tuent. Elle met de l\u2019avant le riche legs de l\u2019histoire de cette pratique artistique et retrace comment cette tradition influence le travail de ces artistes aujourd\u2019hui.
