New Brunswick’s Anna Torma and Brigitte Clavette each won Canada’s highest honour for fine craft artists within the last two years: the Saidye Bronfman Award for excellence in fine craft (one of the Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts). To celebrate these achievements which saw Torma honoured in 2020 and Clavette in 2022, the Beaverbrook Art Gallery is featuring a concentrated but powerful exhibition of both of these artists facing each other in our orientation gallery.
