Opening Hours

The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is open to the public 7 days of the week in summer, and 6 days a week fall, winter, and spring. Our hours are as follows:

Statutory Holidays:
The Gallery is open to the public on statutory holidays from 12 noon to 5pm, though remains closed on holidays that fall on Mondays from September through June. The Gallery is closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The Gallery is open 10-5 on Mondays throughout the summer (May through September), but is closed Mondays in the fall, winter, and spring

 

Admissions

The Beaverbrook Art Gallery charges an admission fee for entry; Gallery members receive unlimited, free entry to the Gallery. Your paid admission is good all day; please retain your receipt for re-entry. Our admission rates are as follows:

*The student rate is open to all students of universities, community and craft colleges; and elementary, middle, and high schools.

Reciprocal admissions and admission discounts:
CAA members / AAA Members: Receive a 10% discount on your admission on presentation of your member card!

Members of the following institutions receive free admission, as well as any other listed benefits, upon presentation of a valid membership card.  To view these institutions click here.

University of New Brunswick, St. Thomas University, and NB College of Craft and Design students receive free admission to the Gallery.

Members or season pass holders of the following institutions receive a 25% discount on admission upon presentation of a valid membership card. To view these institutions click here.

 

Locations & Parking

The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is located in Fredericton’s historic downtown, on the bank of the St. John River. We are across from the Provincial Legislature, the Fredericton Playhouse and the new Fredericton Convention Centre, and next to the Crowne Plaza Lord Beaverbrook Hotel. The Fredericton Green and walking trails are right next to the Gallery.

Directions:

Fredericton Tourism provides information for getting to Fredericton by car.

Parking:

Metered parking is available in front of, and near the Gallery. Time-limited, free parking is also available on some side streets. , and municipal parking garages and lots are located nearby. Out of town visitors* may be eligible for a complimentary parking pass from our local Tourism department. Contact a Fredericton Tourism Visitor Information Centre  for more details.

Visitors may use the Gallery’s parking lot most evenings and weekends. This lot is reserved for staff between 7 AM and 7 PM Monday through Friday.

Tour groups coming by bus

Tour bus parking is available, free of charge, on Carleton Street behind Officers’ Square.  Directions are available through Google Maps by following this link.

Fredericton Trails:

We are easily accessible from Fredericton’s 80+ km of trails. The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is connected to the 3.6 km South Riverfront Trail section.  The path marked with a dotted line here leads through our sculpture garden to the corner of Queen St. and St. John St, next to the Gallery.

Tours

Summer Drop-In Tours! We're pleased to once again offer tours of the Gallery to our visitors this summer - click here for more information! These tours are distinct from the ones below, and are better suited to small group participation.

If you have a large group (class, school, bus tour, etc.), please refer to the information below!


Guided tours are available for small and large groups. Tours must be booked in advance; we recommend three weeks’ notice to allow sufficient time to arrange staff.

Tours can be booked by using the form below and submitting a request to our tour coordinator, or by calling us at 458-0973.

Tours are charged at per-person rates and can be booked at any time during our opening hours. We may also be able to accommodate tours outside of our normal operating hours, with a modest supplementary fee levied for the additional staff time needed. Tour admissions are as follows:

School groups and other groups with chaperones and assistants:
Chaperones and assistants are not charged admission; please ask our tour coordinator for more information when booking your tour.
