Artistica March Break Camps

March 4-8

Programs for kids ages 5-12 who like adventures in art!

Discover the world of art in the heart of Fredericton and explore new media and techniques each day. Come for one day or the whole week and experience a range of creative indoor and outdoor activities.

  • Camps run 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. 
  • $35 per day or $150  for the week
  • Membership prices: $30/day $140/week
  • Pick up by 5pm at the latest as the gallery closes at that time.
  • Campers need a lunch and two nut-free snacks.
  • Dress for mess and fun! Bring  indoor shoes as well as plenty of warm layers for outside play.
  • Maximum 20 students

Monday March 4: Inventors:

Use your imagination to solve a challenge by drawing, painting, and inventing a solution. Meet metalsmith Audrée H. St. Amour in the Bruno Bobak Artist-in-Residence Studio and see her balloon buster invention.

Tuesday March 5: Architects:

Discover a lost city and build your own maquette to animate with stop motion techniques. Construct with cardboard, collage, and photos!

Wednesday March 6: Performers:

Create a plaster mask that tells a story, and design and create a costume or puppet using a variety of textile techniques.

Thursday March 7: Collectors:

Combine your favourite things into a surreal painting and collage on canvas. Make trading cards and miniature models!

Friday March 8: Creators:

Celebrate International Women’s Day with inspiration from artists in the Gallery and create sculptures and jewelry with our artist in residence. Design posters using printmaking techniques.

 

PAYMENTS AND RECEIPTS

Please note that refunds are only possible up to 5 days before the start of the camp. Refunds or camp changes MUST be accompanied by your original receipt.

Your cash register receipt is your official receipt. Please ensure that you pick up your receipt before or during the camp week and retain it for any applicable purposes.

A completed and signed form is required for registration. 

 

ABOUT OUR CAMPS

All our art instructors and camp assistants are experienced educators who encourage creativity, self-expression and development in the arts.

Your children will have the opportunity to create original art in a friendly, respectful environment where they are at the center of the learning process.

Our staff are certified to provide first aid and CPR and to adapt to your children’s learning style and needs.
