Artistica March Break Camps

March 6-10

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Programs for kids ages 5-12 who like adventures in art!

Come for one day or join us for the whole week! Each day will have a different theme to guide our art making, gallery tours and games, and outdoor activities. Try printmaking, painting, sculpture, puppet making and more!

  • Camps run 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. 
  • $35 per day or $150  for the week
  • Membership prices: $30/day $140/week
  • Pick up by 5pm at the latest as the gallery closes at that time.
  • Campers need a lunch and two nut-free snacks.
  • Dress for mess and fun! Bring  indoor shoes as well as plenty of warm layers for outside play.
  • Maximum 20 students

Each day we will time travel to an era in the history of art in Canada and discover artists, the styles of the time, and innovations in art and technology!

Monday
Picturesque: the Creation of Canada! Drawing , painting, and printmaking like Krieghoff and Kane.

Tuesday
Landscape Nation: Group of Seven canvas painting and maquettes.  Construct a nature scene in Art Nouveau style!

Wednesday
Art for Art’s Sake: Diversity from Sea to Sea. Draw and sculpt with wire and clay and express yourself.

Thursday
Les Automatistes: Create collage and textile paintings while exploring the elements of design. Play with chance and be surprised!

Friday
Contemporary Canada: Photo-montage, relief images, and performance puppet making. Learn about the exciting art happening now!

Please note that refunds are possible only with a 5 day cancellation. Refunds or camp changes MUST be accompanied by your original receipt.

Your cash register receipt is your official receipt. Please ensure that you pick up your receipt before or during the camp week and retain it for any applicable purposes.

A completed and signed form is required for registration. 

 

ABOUT OUR CAMPS

All our art instructors and camp super-visors are experienced educators who encourage creativity, self-expression and development in the arts.

Your children will have the opportunity to create original art in a friendly, respectful environment where they are at the center of the learning process.

Our staff are certified to provide first aid and CPR and to adapt to your children’s learning style and needs.
