Thanksgiving Weekend Opening Hours
The Gallery will be open for Thanksgiving weekend as follows:
Oct 6: 10 am to 5 pm
Oct 7: 12 pm to 5 pm
Oct 8: 12 pm to 5 pm
**Please note that the Gallery will be closed on Mondays as of October 15th, through May.
Curator Crunch: Join Manager of Collections and Exhibitions John Leroux each month for an exciting, intimate, and fast-paced look at artworks on display. Designed to comfortably fit in your lunch break, these short presentations on artistic treasures are open to everyone. See what these artworks say, and how they connect us with the world – how’s that for “food for thought”?
Oct 10: 12:15- 12:50 pm, The Deichmanns: ceramic pioneers
Thursday night art class: Thursday, 7:00- 9:00pm. All skill levels are welcome, ages 16+. Cost is free for members, $15 per session for non-members; materials are included. Please call ahead to register.
Oct 11: Through studying the features of the human and face and form, participants will undertake mixed-media projects that incorporate drawing basics while experimenting with various materials. October instructor: Roberte Melanson
Artist talk: D’Arcy Wilson on the exhibition Depository Park
Oct 11: 7:00 pm. Artist D’Arcy Wilson talks about this collaborative exhibition exploring both archives and parks as sites of preservation. Offered in partnership with Connexion ARC.
Art for Tots: Fridays from 10:00- 10:45am - Children ages 2-5 and their parents participate in fun art games, hands-on activities, and storytelling. Cost is free for members, $10 per session for non-members; materials are included.
Oct 12: Paper park
Common Senses Guided Hike
*Meet at Odell Park, rain or shine – dress comfortably!
Oct 13: 1:00- 2:00. A silent hike through Odell Park with artist D’Arcy Wilson. Participants are invited to open their senses for deep observation of urban nature. This activity is organized in connection with the exhibition Depository Park.
Oct 13: 4:00- 6:00. Join us for the official opening reception of new exhibitions this fall at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. Event is free and open to all.
