March Break Special Edition!
With New Brunswick “March”ing right along to a break next week, we’ve added some ongoing programming to this week’s update. Visiting Fredericton, or staycationing? Make a Gallery visit part of your family’s break!

March break camps: Sign up for one or more days of Artistica camps - perfect for budding young artists, 5-12 years old. Spaces are filling up fast, so please call our front desk (458-2028) to sign up.

Exhibitions

There’s something for everyone on view right now, and new exhibitions are open – historical to contemporary, New Brunswick to international, representational to abstract. Find a full list of our exhibitions here

Audio tours: Did you know? We have TWO special audio tours available for visitors.

First, take a deeper look at some of our masterworks on display, with handheld audio guides available for a small rental fee.

And second, do you have a young reader who has enjoyed following Mona’s Gallery adventures in Wendy McLeod MacKnight’s novel The Frame-Up? In this special free audio guide, Mona takes visitors through the Gallery and introduces some of her favorite paintings, places, and people. This audio tour is available at no cost on your mobile device by visiting TheFrameUpTour.ca – and take advantage of our free public Wi-Fi to access it!

Thursday night art class: Thursday, 7:00- 9:00 pm. All skill levels are welcome, ages 16+. Cost is free for members, $15 per session for non-members; materials are included. Please call ahead to register.

March 7: Thursday Night Art Classes will draw inspiration from Everything is Gonna Be Fine – an exhibition celebrating 50 years of the New Brunswick Art Bank and Her Metal – Six New Brunswick Metalsmiths. March instructor: Peggy Holt

Art for Tots: Fridays from 10:00- 10:45 am - Children ages 2-5 and their parents participate in fun art games, hands-on activities, and storytelling. Cost is free for members, $10 per session for non-members; materials are included.

Perfect for locals and visitors alike, this program includes a single-session activity– make some art and take it home, no waiting required!

March 8: Relief sculpting with plasticine
