July 1: the Gallery will be open from 12:00- 5:00 pm on Canada Day, with admission by donation.

Free tours will be offered throughout the afternoon:
1 pm, English

3 pm, English

Come by the pavilion courtyard by Café Beaverbrook at  6:00 pm for a free concert by Michael Elliot of Project Alive.

Guided Summer tours

July 1 – August 23: Discover the gallery with informative and inspiring guided tours! These one hour tours are offered daily and for all visitors to the gallery. Free with admission.

Thursday night art class: Thursday, 7:00- 9:00 pm. All skill levels are welcome, ages 16+. Cost is free for members, $15 per session for non-members; materials are included. Please register by calling 458-2028.

July 4: Braelyn will lead participants in explorations of a variety of techniques seen within Carl Beam’s work in the exhibition, Carl Beam: One Who is Brave-Hearted. This will include an array of media techniques such as alcohol and watercolour mixing, collages, gouache and acrylic water mixing, image transferring, ink painting, monochromatic imagery, and a variation of etching. Art for Tots: Fridays from 10:00- 10:45 am - Children ages 2-5 and their parents participate in fun art games, hands-on activities, and storytelling. Cost is free for members, $10 per session for non-members; materials are included. Please register by calling 458-2028

60th Anniversary art workshop, Emma Hassencahl-Perley: Mixed media workshop

July 6: 2:00- 4:00 pm. Registration required. In celebration of the Gallery’s diamond anniversary, the Beaverbrook presents a special series of artist-led workshops. Using mixed media such as stencils, collage, and watercolour, this reflective workshop will deepen participants’ understanding of Carl Beam’s work, and the exhibition on display.
