Thursday night art class: Thursday, 7:00- 9:00 pm. All skill levels are welcome, ages 16+. Cost is $8 for members, $15 per session for non-members; materials are included. Please register by calling 458-2028.
Jan 30: Journey into the mind of the artist through the exploration of the formal elements of art. Katrina Slade will guide students through lessons on the elements of art using both wet and dry media in a variety of creative lessons.
Jan 30: 7:00 pm. Chantal Khoury will discuss her career leading up to the current ideas behind her latest project, Other People’s Gardens. Khoury’s paintings use inherently flawed, digital stock photos which are dominant modes of media deployment and often perceived as primary sources for knowledge.
Art for Tots: Fridays from 10:00- 10:45 am. Cost is free for members, $10 per session for non-members; materials are included. Please register by calling 458-2028.
Jan 31: Ice painting – bring your old mittens!
Jan 31: 5:00- 8:00 pm. Hop over to the Beaverbrook Art Gallery during this year’s FROSTival Gallery Hop. Guided tours in both English and French start at 6:00 pm. Live music by Oscar Tecu from 5:30- 7:30 pm; and in-gallery art activities will be available.
Feb 1: 2:00 pm (English), 3:00 pm (French). Join a docent for Highlights of the Collection and Exhibitions. Free with admission.
